Michele has presented at the local, state and national level on a wide range of topics. She is the recipient of NJASA/NJAPSA's Special Education Administrator of the Year award as well as the New Jersey Coalition for Inclusive Education's Inclusion Honors award.
Michele Gardner is a longtime special educator who has served in a variety of roles in the public school system of New Jersey - as a special education teacher, Learning Disabilities Teaching Consultant, Supervisor and Director of Special Services. She has also served as an adjunct instructor at the college level, working with preservice undergraduate and graduate students in the field of education.
Gardner Educational Consulting was launched in 2023 in an effort to provide families, students and educators with support in all things related to special education - advocacy, professional development, consultation and educator coaching. Michele has worked tirelessly within the bounds of public school education to make inclusive practices a reality for students with disabilities.
The segregation of students with disabilities has long been a standard of practice in public school education throughout the United States. Our mission is to provide the tools, resources and support that educators and families may need in order to successfully and intentionally include students with disabilities, ages 3-21 years old, to the greatest extent possible.
